FPL GW 25 Wildcard Team (Updated for new doubles!)

Optimal FPL GW 25 Wildcard Team

Fixtures Report

Let’s start our presentation of the updated optimal GW 24 Wildcard Team by looking at the current state of fixtures with added doubles and blanks!

Attacking Fixtures

These are the top ten fixture runs for attackers:

A picture of the top ten fixture runs for attackers. Bournemouth easily having the easiest run going forward. While in the top 5 as well, I think we can safely ignore Wolverhampton and Brighton assets for a lack of options in their teams.

The other development of note of course is the addition of the double fixtures for Aston Villa and Liverpool! Liverpools double especially is excellent from an attacking point of view.

Because of the blank in 29 however we will go easy on Aston Villa assets. We do not want 6 players not playing in 29 (unless of course you intend to Free Hit that week!).

Defensive Fixtures

These are the top ten fixtures runs for defenders:

Arsenal and Liverpool also looking excellent going forward. We will make sure to have a strong bench to cover for non-playing Liverpool assets.

Goalkeepers

With the fixtures out of the way let’s get into the team!

Our Number 1 this week is Raya (5.5). With excellent fixtures coming up and no blank in 29 he is a strong pick.

On the bench we have Areola (4.2) of West Ham. He seems to be the new manager’s keeper of choice.

Defenders

Of Arsenal we have Gabriel (6.4) and J. Timber (5.6). Both are nailed and have attacking threat, plenty of returns to come.

Alexander-Arnold (7.3) is in fantastic form and should not be missing from your team. He is expected to be back for gameweek 25.

Munoz (4.8) is another solid pick going forward. He’s finally starting to deliver on the returns his stats promised, and with a bunch of very nice home fixtures coming up I’m sure he’ll continue returning. He’s also not highly owned (only 6.8%)!

Our (strong!) bench option is Huijsen (4.4). Bournemouth have been so good, and with the best upcoming run of defensive fixtures he is a real luxury to have on your bench. Bournemouth is also playing Brentford at home in 29 so they will provide cover for our Liverpool players.

Midfielders

Not on the bench but starting from Bournemouth is Kluivert (5.7). O.Dango (5.0) will be the first sub. Both are nailed, Kluivert on penalties and O.Dango is playing out of position as number 9!

Palmer (11.3) and Salah (13.7) are undroppable. They are the main men of the best offenses in the league, and on penalties too.

Joining in for the Aston Villa double is Rogers (5.6). His attacking output has been strong for his price so far this season, and he provides much needed Villa coverage.

Forwards

Our front two for this team are Gakpo (7.6) and Isak (9.5). Isak is Newcastle’s main striker and on penalties. They are both in fantastic form.

Our backup attacker is Strand Larsen (5.2). While he is still recovering from an injury we don’t want to play him until gameweek 29 where he will go against Southampton away.

Conclusion
